Maddelena Pozza - Restrain the Pain
"It didn't take long before I started feeling healthier and became less stressed about my upcoming surgery. I was also able to decrease some of my medication. I am now mentally and physically prepared for my hip replacement surgery and am confident and happy with the direction of my health and well-being."
As a grandmother to 5 precious grandkids, Maddelena Pozza of Kamloops, BC, knew that was reason enough to want to feel and become healthier. As a cancer survivor, Maddelena was a fighter. However, soon after her recovery, she began experiencing extreme pain in her lower back, hips, shoulder blades and neck. She also became susceptible to frequent headaches and infections. But things became overwhelming when she found out she needed a hip replacement. She knew her physical and emotional well-being would become a priority in preparing for surgery. That’s why she came to see us. Meet Maddelena:
Hi, my name is Maddelena. I moved to Kamloops from Williams Lake to be closer to my grandchildren. But what good was I to them, if I wasn’t healthy? I knew I needed to make my health a priority, not just for myself, but for my husband and entire family. After my radiation treatment, I became prone to bladder infections. And because I was preparing for my hip replacement surgery, I needed to be healthy. Not only was I in pain, physically, but my emotions were up and down. I was worried about my surgery. After reading about Inergy Mind Spa Centers in the newspaper, I wondered if they could help me, so I booked my free evaluation to learn more. While I didn’t know it then, I know today, that I was worth that one hour of time. That day, I made the decision to start the 9-week Restrain the Pain program. It only took a couple of weeks before I started trusting myself more and started to relax. I began to realize that my emotions were controlling me and I began to learn the tools and techniques to control them. I started to let go of all the anger I kept inside about my body. My confidence and happiness increased. It didn’t take long before I started feeling healthier and became less stressed about my upcoming surgery. I was also able to decrease some of my medication. I am now mentally and physically prepared for my hip replacement surgery and am confident and happy with the direction of my health and well-being. I’m even looking forward to spending more time volunteering and socializing, something I’ve missed for a long time. I also enjoy my grandchildren more and never realized how wonderful it is to be a grandma. After my surgery, I look forward to continuing my visits to the Mind Spa, because I now know how essential and beneficial it is for me to continue down this path. Thanks, Inergy!
