Crystal of Kamloops, BC came to Inergy seeking a solution to her unhappiness and depression. As a young, hardworking, and ambitious student, she had decided that now was the time for her to make changes in her life — long lasting changes that would serve her well into her future. After all, she has her whole life ahead of her. Read her story:

Hi, my name is Crystal. I have to admit, it was difficult for me to discuss my situation. I had been feeling quite sad and as if nobody cared. Having fought with depression and anxiety for some time, I decided that Inergy was a way for me to build my self-esteem back up and to improve my self-image. The StressLess program is what was recommended I take and it seemed to make sense to me, so I got started. As I progressed through the program, I slowly started to feel happier and not as depressed. I even found that I wasn’t losing my temper or getting as angry as I used to. Another benefit I noticed that I didn’t even expect was that I started sleeping better, too. I knew something was working when during my Fall exams, I didn’t have any negative thoughts or anxiety.

I have definitely made some positive strides. Recently, I started my summer semester and while I used to force myself to go to class, now I don’t need to. My anxiety at school, in groups of people, and just in general has lessened. My biggest benefit is that I now live a happier life. The techniques that Inergy teaches are truly beneficial. I particularly liked the Circle of Choice. I would have to say that was the most valuable thing I learned in my program. I also have to compliment the staff at Inergy for being so supportive and helpful. Going forward, I expect to decrease my anxiety and depression even more, as well as keep my stress levels down by using the Mind Spa. If you are someone who is considering becoming an Inergy member, all I can tell you is that it works!
